So You Wanna Do Niagara…

Horseshoe Falls

It’s late May and that’s when you start thinking about golf and wine and then you remember the legendary status of the Niagara region. That sounds perfect for a getaway for a smart business lifestyle. Imagine the possibilities, 4-diamond accommodations, fine dining, touring the wine country, hitting the links, rolling at the casino, but quickly you realize after a cursory search online that such an excursion adds up to hundreds if not a thousand or more. If you’re a smart business man, and I trust that you are, you ask yourself how can I do this on a budget? Since your finger is on the pulse, maybe you think of how group buying and crowd sourcing are the next big thing and you check out some group buy dotcoms.

And then it hits you. A package deal voucher. I found a deal on a site for $125 for a one-night stay for two in a room overlooking the falls, breakfast and dinner at respectable restaurants, and wine tour passes. I took advantage of a promotion the buysite was offering at got one free by sharing with three friends. And you probably have at least three friends to do a quick getaway with. Perfect for 2 couples or a foursome of golfers. Since you’re probably a roller at the Casino you have some comped show tickets, why not you’d say. Go see the Cirque after the steak house and then hit the tables. Morning brings a wine tour including some solid notable wineries including some personal faves in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
